The Ask
Winefi is a wine investment platform that’s opening up the world of fine wines, granting clients unrivaled access and transparency to premium wine selections.
We developed a web portal enabling clients to monitor their investments and track the real-time performance of their wines, offering immediate access to data and actionable insights.
What we did
We approached the development of Winefi with a clear focus on user experience, scalability, and security. Leveraging scalable technologies, services, and capabilities, we built a platform that prioritised speed, flexibility, and reliability.
Repeatable, meticulously designed components such as navigation, forms, charts, and data visualisations underwent extensive testing and validation with users, playing a pivotal role in facilitating understanding of wine investment.
The platform leverages AWS for rapid delivery, agile infrastructure, and support during peak demand. Powered by sophisticated backend architecture, the platform ensures swift and secure transactions, enabling users to manage their wine portfolios effortlessly.

Winefi leverages advanced technologies such as Node.js for backend operations and Next.js for frontend development, resulting in improved performance and scalability. This sophisticated combination not only enhances speed and reliability but also streamlines the integration process with external systems and services, ensuring seamless functionality.
Additionally, we integrated a live market price API to provide users with real-time data on wine performance and prices, enhancing their investment decisions. Hosted on Postgre, Winefi benefits from robust security measures, efficient data management, and scalability to accommodate future growth.

Winefi leveraged our creative and tech expertise with a monthly partnership, giving them on-demand access to what they need. This enabled efficiency of time, budget, and kept focus on their roadmap to acquisition.
The Result
Since its launch, Winefi has made significant strides in revolutionising the wine investment landscape. Securing a successful second round of Pre-seed funding led by SFC Capital, the platform has attracted a diverse user base of both wine enthusiasts and investors, democratising access to fine wines and providing a transparent, user-friendly investment platform.
