Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement

Statement under Section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 for Weuno LTD.

Introduction

Modern slavery is both a criminal act and a severe infringement of basic human rights. It manifests in different ways, including slavery, servitude, forced labor, and human trafficking, all characterized by the coercion of one individual by another for personal or financial exploitation.

Storm ID adopts a zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and is dedicated to conducting our business ethically and with integrity. We are committed to establishing and enforcing effective procedures to ensure that modern slavery does not occur within our operations or through any of our supply chains.

Policies

In line with our dedication to combat modern slavery, we have put in place several key policies and procedures:

  • A modern slavery policy
  • A whistleblowing policy

Additionally, we ensure that our suppliers are informed of these policies and uphold the same stringent standards.

Supply chain due diligence

To oversee and minimize the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains, we’ve implemented the following due diligence measures:

Incorporating standard contractual clauses that require suppliers to comply with all relevant laws.
Conducting periodic audits on certain suppliers, when necessary, to ensure adherence to these standards.

Our procedures aim to:

Identify and evaluate potential risk areas within our business and supply chains.
Continuously monitor these risk areas.

Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains.
Ensure sufficient protection for whistle-blowers.

Risk and compliance

We believe that the services we provide, along with the geographical location and makeup of our suppliers, do not place us in a sector that is highly susceptible to risks associated with modern slavery.

We enforce strict adherence to our modern slavery policy across all our suppliers. We maintain a rigorous compliance code and have zero tolerance for slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains. Should we discover any non-compliance with our policies, which include anti-slavery measures, we will promptly move to end our relationship with the involved supplier.

Training

We are actively working to increase awareness and are beginning to invest in training our staff to identify the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains. We are making strides in this area by implementing ongoing training programs, which will be conducted annually for all staff. These sessions will include necessary updates to ensure that our team remains alert and informed.

Further actions and sign-off

After reviewing our efforts this fiscal year to prevent slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains, we plan to implement additional measures to address these issues:

  • Introducing new training and guidance for our employees.
  • Updating our modern slavery policy to reflect the latest standards and practices.
